Its just sick how anyone can joke about this tragedy.

Errr........... no it wasn't a bit far. AT ALL.

You seem to have problems reading and understanding English.

    How unfortunate for you :(

OK then. What makes some things funny and others not?

So you are both justifying jokes on the Tsunami disaster?

    Unbelievable.

I dont doubt that for a second.

My point is that there's always been jokes made about disasters, regardless of whether anyone finds them funny, I just dont see how this is different to any other disaster.

The fact that this conversation is going on when people in Asia continue to die is shocking.

There will be thousands more die/confirmed dead today.

Please just have a bit of respect for them.

If u've never ever ever laughed at a sick joke then I admire you and respect what you're saying in this case.

Sadly perhaps, I can't say that I haven't laughed at a sick joke before myself.

ok lee, if you were to say to me:

how many jews can you fit in a mini? 6 million, 4 in the seats and 5,999,996 in the ash tray.... I would take massive offence.

    if I were to say:

have you heard geordie lee's favourite song? I just can't control my feet...

I'd be liable to take a smack in the mouthy and quite rightly so... I can mock my jewishness, you can mock your disability... but when others do its its cold as fuck.

You have no right to laugh at the death of 150,000 people fact.

    Fair point.

I would take less offence if I knew the person making the joke and even less if they were a mate. After all in my case at least, its only a laugh. I see your point tho.

Yeh. Most of its funny tho. I have to admit.

There is a fine line between joking and being nasty however. I admit that too.

personally don't think there much for people to be laughing about! i also don't think that people who were involved with this should be trying to clain compensation from the governments of the country they were in...they should be grateful they're alive & be thankful for that...

as it turns out if this had happened 6 weeks later than it did my mam & i would've been staying in those beach huts!

my sentiments exactly...i could understand if it was due to a bomb blast or something but a natural disaster....thought thats why they were called that!

i'm even more sickened by the orphan scam thats started up - kidnapping & selling orphans to get compo. Who knows where those poor children will end up... gary glitters mates will be planning their summer holidays :(

they're talking about compensation claims... a tidal wave isn't exactly the fault of the goverment - while it could be argued that they hadn't done enough to protect their citizens against a bomb
