Having a political view isn't a bad thing. It's easy to be short sighted if things are going ok for you right now, but what about the next generation ... do people only care about that if they have children themselves ?????

I trust them to use the laws available to acheive their goals. You can't blame the police for duff laws or critisise them for using and enforcing those laws.

It's not a seperate issue at all.

Hate to say it - but the tory party seem to be looking more electable all the time.

Seems like the mistakes they made with Haig, Williams and The Screaming Banshee have taught them a few lessons.

You never know, they might even be the right people for the job in the future - but they will have to spend 2 terms cleaning up the mess that labour have left the country in.... for the second time.

To be honest i imagine they would only hold people for that long if they had good cause, Its a long time for an innocent person but i doubt they are just doing it left right and centre

he made a mistake but i dont see any better candidates for pm

Is there not some form of court system where they can present evidence or give causes for the holding of someone for that length of time??!?

So for example say they hold them for 28 days and during that time they discover possible evidence that this person could somhow be involved in some form of plot.. then take it to court.. keep em locked up for a further 62 days and if there is still not enough to take the fuckers down then releases them?

Personally I think that anything that is done to aid public or indeed the country's saftey is a GOOD thing..

i think we should be able to hold them for that long specially if they're suspected of terrorism....

why should we be so pc, when our lives are at risk??

there are too many laws that favour the people who want to carry out terror attacks and the politicians seem too affraid to do something about it...wonder if they'd change their minds if someone related to them was killed by a terrorist??
