 @ doylum (love that word)

I do think that in certain situations, if injury is caused to you thru no fault of ya own then you're entitled to compen like. I would say that tho, i used to investigate for the accident group lol. we were right ripping scoundrels!!! but hey, its only insurance companies gettin ripped and they rip us enough if they can.

it is genuinley low though i've always thought you'd be screwed if you slipped or tripped onto it.

it's got fuck all to do with personal responsibility. This is why accidents are accidents. This is not the same as claiming cos you fall over a paving stone!

Are you telling me that if for example you slipped/tripped and went over the low bannister and broke your legs/neck/whatever, you would just accept that it was your own fault, even though it wouldn't have happened if the bannister was a few feet higher? Would you fuck!

Dont answer for me thanks

No I wouldnt, I wouldnt fall over a bannister unless i was mortal

This was proven when I tried to walk down a bannister after the Prodigy concert and fell 12 foot and fractured my heel

    NNNOOOOOOOOO

it would be an accident. my own fault. i fell over and i should have been more careful. i should have noticed a low bannister and taken more care - is this not common sense??!?!?!? THIS IS WHATS WRONG WITHT HE WORLD TODAY - EVERYONE immediately blames someone else rather than taking some responsibility for their own actions.

the world is spawning irresponsible clumsy pansies

what's wrong with it is that you have to make a claim AGAINST somebody. It's easy to turn round with hindsight and say well they should have done something about it before, but there are millions of things you can hurt yourself on and nobody can second guess them all. If you try to do anything now you have to write a six page risk assessment and you still won't cover all the possibilities of getting sued.
It means that loads of things that were fun are now banned and half the NHS budget goes on paying compensation.
Then there are people who are just as badly injured but can't find anyone to blame and they get nothing even though their lives will end up just as shit as the ones who do manage to sue somebody
