id love to watch fedor punch sylvia so much his heart stopped fedor had been ground out of the russian war machine, pure child of stalin, totally born in the wrong generation, he would have ate germans for fun in ww2 anyways, the quicker he gets on the scene the better imo
Even though I've said Sylvia's good record is probably due to his height and reach, and (usually) decent takedown defence, I reckon he'll be a hard opponent for Fedor. I think Sylvia will either get the shit kicked out of him in a one sided fight, or it'll be a long drawn out fight with sylvia keeping his distance the whole time..
I just find Sylvia very boring, he very rarely gets out of first gear, and spends most of his fights using nothing more than a jab and his reach to keep opponents away from him, he's terrible on the ground for an ex champs, heavyweight or not, as soon as Nogueira took him down he passed his guard far too easy.
nice one, i check a few when i have time, sherdogs hilarious, so many keyboard warriors who've probably never trained lol.
I can imagine it's a lot harder for someone his size to get good ground skills in comparison with the best in BJJ. I doubt he's that flexible lol. I dunno why but I just cant imagine him getting an arm bar from the bottom position. I don't train in any MA but I reckon you'd need to be pretty strong/flexible to pull off submissions on someone from your guard when you're 6'8 or whatever he is. I look at him and think 'Lanky bloke with average looking conditioning/strength'
lol thats why i said for a heavyweight, theres one thing being good at BJJ, but his guard was still way too easy to pass, he may as well have lay there n let him win haha.
It was a sweep at first tho and for some reason sylvia just planted both his feet on the floor and kept them there.. no attempt and blocking the side mount.. maybe he was tired Sylvia has never looked like he's been in good shape..
