Im sorry Heather but I totally disagree with everything youve just said. My relationship works and I know that it will continue to do so for a very long time. Ive had nightmare relationships in the past so I know the signs to look for when someones shagging about or isnt happy with me or whatever else. Not all blokes would sleep around given the chance. Hogg never has no matter who he's been with and he's not the kind of person that would do that. The thing that makes him have respect is the fact that he's been treat badly in the past and wouldnt do it to someone else cos he knows how bad it is when it happens to you.
I couldnt be with him if I thought he'd stray as soon as my back was turned.
IMO if a person is happy with their relationship they dont stray. Simple as

my relationship is about to become long distance, i've come back from york and she moves down next week to start uni. 'tis sods law as i'm not going to be back in york till next summer. :(

we've been together for about 6 months now. we fight and argue every couple of weeks usually over something really petty. i wouldn't say i love her yet though but i think i am starting to, even though i cheated on her twice during a week when i was under the impression we had split up, but she maintains that we hadn't. was with one of my ex's and one of her ex-best mates. i feel like a cunt for doing it now, and since then i've pretty much been the model boyfriend and we seem a lot stronger. we aren't a lovey lovey couple and i don't think we ever have been or will be.. doesn't mean that we are doomed though! ;)

if there is enough effort and trust from both sides, distance doesn't have to be a problem.

Gotta agree with Mr Maitland like, depends how much effort you both wana put into it.

If you really want it, it'll happen.
Mine's probably the worst relationship you could possibly imagine with all the outside influences stopping us seeing eachother, but we want it, and we make do with what we've got for now, and we make the most of whatever time we have together :)

    Re: Long distance relationships

It worked for me when I moved down here, it was a +ve thing ... it was only for 4 months though from Glasgow to here until she was sorted to move down.

It does take a bit of effort and I'm glad that time has passed though. It's a good test though, I think if you make it through that then you can handle anything.

The worst part is when you have maybe go a couple of weekends alone, balls like watermelons springs to mind.
