sorry all the trouble this has caused i am open minded on many issues, and hope people see this thread wasnt to cause, trouble ut to get some advice thats got plenty of opnion to it, its just i have never been affected by this type of scenario.

It shouldnt matter what sexuality, race, religion etc etc your mates are. Theyre your mates cos of who they are not what they are

Someones sexuality shouldn't make the blindest bit of difference and if it does then you have issues in your own like that need sorting out. If your request for help on how you should deal with your situation was serious, and not just a piss take then this might help:-

There are a number of organisations around ie; Gay Switchboard, FRIEND (Newcastle), and FLAG (Friends of lesbian and gay people) based in Leeds.

All these organisations serve straight people as well as gay in coming to terms with that difficult moment when you or your friend decides to come out as gay.

You can get all the numbers from directory enquiries and some advertise in the Chronicle, Journal and The Crack.

I know from personal experience and from talking to many young clubbers that the worst thing a straight mate can do in this situation is not talk about it to your friend.

Too often, but quite naturally, people go into a bit of a state of shock, and then they don't know how to broach the subject again. This can leave your gay mate thinking that you secretly don't approve while tolerating them on the surface.

That's a surefire recipe for alienating the people you care about. So take a bit of time to reflect, remember that nothing has really changed except that your relationship has reached a new level of honesty and be grateful for that.

But above all sit down and talk, ask questions. If you are uncertain be honest about that.

If you don't think that anyone gay has been close to you in the past then now is the time to put aside everything you thought before.

It's a new beginning for both of you.

sorry guy's this is a bit of a pointless thread, so what if yer mates gay. does't it really matter. just because someone is queer doesn't mean they are all sex crazed addicts after every mans body.( he might not even fancy you anyway!!) He's a mate stick by him, as for putting it public i don't think yer much of a mate anyway!!!! ask yerself that.
