Like I say it's a hunch, my comments are NOT facts. Just seems a bit suspicious thats all. If im proved wrong then it's myself only thats left looking daft, but in the mean time I'll definately look into a back up plan as if I was truthfull we couldn't compete with Evolve no matter how bad of a rep theyv'e built up, there a business that can throw money at line-up's like PVD & big names. Were a small cutting edge night hosting nubreed & up & coming names.
Even the harder nights we'd struggle if we ran the same day I dont care how many clubbers Newcastle claims to have to be able to share amongst the 2 nights, it would be a massive struggle.
Yes I have pride & would love to be able to turn round like Danny has & say we also host some of the big hitters in the scene from around the world & would also love to be able to say we'd give them a run for there money, but realistically we couldnt. GG wont want to even try to compete as they already host 3 huge events up & down the country, they have there own big events to contend with, nights like JNR & Native for instance are wkd little projects to keep the fan base interested, not capable of going head to head with big Businesses, although (if all this happens) a date change could easily change the above predicament:)

    Does it matter?

I pay the entry fee and try to enjoy my night without thinking too much about who's pockets it's lining and what they're spending it on.

If you were as successful as Digital in whatever you were doing wouldn't you wanna still make more money? or are you doing it for people? If so then Detox should be non-profitable.
