the team as a whole did really well - just let down by a couple of twats. Fucking Heskey and Gerrard. And over-confident Beckham.

Up until the 90th minute, England had a really good game. The downfall of the team was when rooney was replaced - he'd had a blinder and his attacking play kept France on the backfoot for most of the match. Once he went off the defence weren' as occupied and the team were able to get forward more....

Ain't been this gutted about a result in a long time.. still, not as bad as when we got kicked out of Euro '96 by Germany - that one really hurt..

turning point was when Becks missed that pen. That shud have been red, taking rooney off was daft too. but i think if we play like that the rest of the tournament we should do well.

The team played well as a whole no point getting on there backs Silvestre should have walked for that tackle i doubt the france penalty would have happened if he had been sent off, all ifs and buts now thou , just got to get on with it win the other 2 games and qualify !!!

The lads did show they can mix it with the best and with a little luck who knows

Gutted, didnt agree with the substitutions, not a bad attempt by England. I was in tears at the end of the game.

Beckham should of used his head and hit it high... Barthez is not the biggest goal keeper... he could of hit the top corner (near enough) with no problem...
