Melodic or Hard?? Yeah I see your point - I guess it's just a case of personal taste cos I'd prefer it the other way round. I got to Telewest at about 9.45 and was canny drunk n the second I walked in the door to Sundissential I went apeshit jumping all over the place. BUT, I would've rathered dancing most of the night to John Kelly style choons instead of the night getting harder and harder cos Im not as fit as I used to be!! I think what you said applies to most people, but I definitely prefer the majority to be melodic trance. Or even hard trance The only problem with melodic though, like you mentioned is that most of it is mainstream/commercial which is not my kettle of fish in most circumstances. Tunes like Minimalistic's "Close Cover" should be left out of the charts and made a bit more desirable by limiting their copies, but I guess they gotta get something back for their work?! Have you heard of DJ Neutropix? He (or, she?!) does a lot of hard house and releases his own stuff on white label. The amount of copies are limited, usually to about 200 which makes each release fairly desirable!!! I've got the first one he did which is a Remake of "Age of Love" called "Age of Large" and is a lot harder, but pleasant. That's what I like to see though, something rare. Hope that makes sense!!! I don't mind a bit of hard, but when it's stuff you dont know you dont get as excited as you do when it's a tune you know and love. So because most of the stuff I listen to is trance, that's probably why I'd prefer it. All the same though, Im not complaining when Im at a set with big DJs to the likes of Picotto the other week - I think he was mint, despite what most people are saying!! Maybe see you on the 17th. One Eyed

Excellant! Cheers 4 the dates mate - God's K Solo does sound mighty attrative! How much to get down there by train from Newcastle do you reckon? You going?
Iv not been to GK at code b4. Iv always wanted to go there cos its got the best sound system in britain/europe? I rekon i will have to go cos Tiesto is the god! I went to see him at the union when he was here, but the union sound system is totally shit, it ruined the nite, but in a proper club it will be awesome.
are awakening and massive some of the only proper trance tunes u have heard of cos they are the only ones u ever mention in your posts....and for the final time...they are not CHILL OUT trance...they are REAL TRANCE! thankyou
johnny were u really not that impressed wif mr kelly at crasher the other week? i thought he was amazin...better than he used to be by miles!
everyone slags off john kelly but the few times i've seen him he's been spot on. played a wikid set the first time i saw him at promise. the second time i saw him @ promise he was good (tho not as good as the first), and i thought he was rather good at godskitchen as well. maybe he can be a lil cheesy at times but he seems to get away with it?
I've only seen John Kelly once and that was at God's K! I reckon he got the best reaction in the God's K arena! Jules dropped some good tunes but didn't get the crowd going enough! The question if Kelly is better than Hardwick is debatable! Promise should have a verus set sometime!!! Now that would be fun!
Anyone who slagged Kelly off can eat your own words! Everyone had a mint night on Fri! Kelly & Eddie were amazing!
donk son... sorry seqouia i mean.... U have got only the best in mind for promise, seems its to be confirmed nearer the time but sept is goin ahead!!! CMOOOOOOOON.
He plays a lot of mainstream stuff but gets away with it because they're not exactly "cheesy" like Lasgo, Ian van Dahl etc. I think everyone'd shit a brick if he dared drop summat like that in. But stuff like Firewire he gets away with cos its still a mint tune. Then there's tracks like Born Slippy that caused me to cry at GK Telewest because they're classics. That's what I think. Was Kelly any good the other week cos I couldn't make it. Sorry Tino I'd of loved to come, and come I would... actually I was at our lasses, so come I did. (Knocked one off in the bathroom while she was downstairs...) That was a JOKE in case Linda, Cuppitt, Wor Lass or God is reading this...
By the way, as we're on the subject of cheez - how bad is Milk inc "In my Eyes" !!??? Shit man I dunno how they dare! That's a true definition of Cheese, or my name aint Nathan Arizona.

Was Kelly any good last week you ask? Just take a look at the threads about him - peops are saying it was one of the best nights at promise ever! So yeah Wheels, it was a farely mint night!
