lol progressive house is hardly jazzfusion.

its all synthesized tosh putting similar constraints on the system.

I'm no expert on sound systems but I'm pretty sure the funktion1 wasn't designed for live music?

dont mean live music mate - i mean dance music with some live elements in - in general , as opposed to just sythsized noise in hard house!

I dont understand what you're getting at then.

Why would hard house sound inferior... The system isnt designed for live elements, its designed for dance music be they samples of cliche saxaphones or the cheesey synthesized drones of hard house.

I disagree a tune like say "Marc Smith v Safe and Sound - Identify the Beat" could produce far better results than a lot of the electro shite that'll get played on it.

Although not in digital as it wont be tuned to accomodate hard house style music.

    Wonder how stonelove will sound.

HH is a simplistic form of dance music which will not show of the potential throught the low mid and high ranges of a superior sound system

And i thought people went out to have a good time getting pissed dancing and copping off .
Funktion 1 is a great system but lets get a grip on reality how many people apart from train spotters actually care (and that is not meant as a dig at digital ) what the system is
My experiance of systems is most people dont have a clue what sounds good or bad .
The dfa button on all systems always makes them sound wonderful .:D

This taken from the funktion-one website:

"Funktion-One have always had a love of dance music. Tony Andrews' loudspeaker designs from the 1970s and 80s were mostly designed using funk music from James Brown, Sly Stone, Parliament etc.

In response to the reaction of the current dance world suggesting a "no holds barred" design approach we enthusiastically developed a sonically and visually imposing "stack" of matched components to provide the dance world with what we think it will enjoy."

Looks to me like it'd sound good as long as it's set up right and the DJ isn't running red lights :D

although there is a huge difference in design of a setup used for dance music as there is for live music.

but as mark says, who actually gives a fuck? II was just defending the hard house lovers who were getting unfairly slated :D

As for hardhouse , because alot of it is so simple/minimal I would reckon it would be produced to a higher standard , like minimal techno is
