that was well weird...when he fired that blank at the wall and then just sat there looking scared...u think he thought it was number 5 or was it just to throw of the audience?

cos that would have been well freaky...if he'd thought it was number 5...and then he was left with 3 rounds and hadn't a clue which one it was.

after it ended me and martin just sat there there for a minute or 2...then started laffing...odd effect.

martin is now even contemplating buying his dvd....and he NEVER buys videos/movie tickets/cd's and the like.

    clever bloke that

    (was number 1 btw)

Id imagine his DVD sales and the like will go up a hell of a lot.

And to think David Blaine wont have a clue, hes gunna be well chewed when he comes out. It will take the spotlight of him a bit.

    nail on head...

kept me glued to the screen from start to finish...

even the simple task of eliminating the contestants kept the viewers guessing....

id gladly pay a tv license if more tv was produced of this quality and originality!! :D

    He is like!

Even just watching how he stares into peoples eyes - sussing them out every second of the way...amazing!

And lets face it, anyone who can convince a bookie you actually have a winning ticket and get em to pay out when its not actually a winning ticket has to b good ;)

i was shitting it at the end - that poor lad who had to load the gun - imagine what was going thru his head.

he fucked up like. he must have thought it was number 5. he was meant to fire it at his head for each empty chamber. he must have thought it's either 5 or 1, thats all i can think. he wasn't going to take the chance - but makes him look a bit daft on tv if he didn't know exactly where it was!

how the fook does he do that? it's mint. bangs his hand on the wall and says 'this is the winning ticket' and the lass says - "ok!" and gives him the cash. would rich would u make yourself?!?! it's scarey! apparently he's banned from all race tracks and casinos.

Strange one - great tv though.

I guess he gets to learn a persons trace of thought rather than mind reading but what's interesting is what makes you pick a number out of 1-6 under that pressure.

Defo. picked the young guy as he showed things easier. Would have been totally shitting it sitting in that chair as well.

You had to laugh when he said "I have signed a disclaimer, you are not responsible for my death if things go wrong".

Your all so gullible!  :D

This was Derren's presentational slant on a MAGIC TRICK which has by the way been done many times before! IMO this is what makes Derren so unique and entertaining...but it's funny hearing people say it's all real...it's kinda like saying Uri Gellar is the real thing!

    Good show by the way!

On another note, the producers of this show (Anthony Owen & co) have all recently been kicked out of the Magic Circle!

    Eh?

    It WAS real tho?

Al he does it to MAKE SURE he can tell 100% which barrell the bullet is in thru "analysing" the other bloke if u like.....he's proved that he can basically "read" people...so thats all he did isnt it?

Cud b wrong but seems pretty much the crack to me :)

Paul where I agree this was a very basic trick and mr brown does what many illusionists have done before him, you can't question his skill level - he presents old tricks & new tricks in a so called "scientific" way... Like any great magician he convinces the crowd he's doing something - he isn't a human polygraph machine - he's just a good metalist/illusionist/whatever.

I find derren brown far mor convincing and entertaining than david copperfield :D

Do you think that the producers at Channel 4 would commission a program where someone could REALLY DIE based on their ability to "read" another person?
