Juski you have a very limited view on the world - you see the world as western capitalist countries.

You wnat to see resistance have a look @ cuba or saudi arabia where there is big resistance to western capitalism... You need to learn to look further than your middle class door step (well faux middle class in your case)

There is a whole world out there that don't have n64's and nokia mobile phones.

Cuba is one fo the strongest proudest countries in the world, they turn out the biggest amount of doctors and nurses in southrn america - many people look @ cuba and see a failed country.

I think this is a stupid outlook, this is a minute country that has stood up against a huge global bully and won...

I think if anything Cuba is a success story.

A success story of a country living under a dictator, with people who are poor, have no freedom, flock in their masses to the USA....

    Thats a success eh?

I was merely pointing out that theres a lot of world outside of the middle/upper class capitalist collective.

You talk as if the rest of the world doesn't give a damn, of course they be they a rich ro poor antion their is a huge resentment of capitilaism - this summerised in say the hatred of McDonalds :D

Why dont you stop going on about it and do something. I'ts so boring to hear a armchair revolutionary bang on and on. Why dont you give all you can afford to a family in a third world county for a couple of months. Maybe when you're stopped buy stupid clothes and helped people to buy enough food to survive people might take you a bit more seriously.

Just a point of view someone put to me once and it had me stumped.

because me giving up everything would benefit them far less, by staying in england earning a good wage and donating decent money to chairites I'm doing far more for them.

I don't have to suffer to understand the world is unjust - what a stupid outlook on the world you have.

Granted you can extract some interesting things from the cuban "experiment" - but in terms of looking to them as being something we can look to... we arent even close.

Communism just doesnt work without repression... and if we're trying to solve the problems caused by capitalism, then living under a dictator and having your country slowly strangled because of it aint exactly something we can aspire to.

When did I tell you to give up your job/everything?

I'm just putting forward what I consider to be a very important point, most people who go on about how bad the US is and how we in the west do nothing to help the 3rd world seem to do fuckall themselves.

I wonder how many people you could feed in Afganistan with your monthly drink budget?

What a stupid outlook you have on the world.

we can certainly aspire to have the courage and detrmination they have.

Although I never offered cuba's form of communism as an alternative to capitalism I was using the country as an example of country which may not be as pro capitalism as Juski as it appeared to me he was looking at the world through champagne tinted glasses.

I'm sorry I think your outlook is stupid, you tell me to be silent unless I give all I can afford to those suffering? I'm sorry I'd rather listen to a vocal champagne socialist than the drones middle england turns out.

If your bored of listening 2 the likes of me don't read the fucking thread - what do u think it would be about, snooker?

I'm sorry rob but ur living on cloud cookoo, I know people who have gone to india for a few months to look after orphan kids, I know people who've volunteered to take aid to afghanistan, just because they've helped in their own way it doesn't mean i have less of right to promote my own ideas on politics than they have.

You don't know what I do and don't give to chairty, thats my business and it bears no relation on what I can and can't say as far as my political beliefs go.

It just makes them shallow as they are based on nothing more than you wish to be diffrent from the croud. I bet if we lived in Cuba you'd be 100% capitalist.
