You should of came up in Chris's box, no tools standing all over you and that.

I thought you might of been under the decks in the dj box, giving Paul some oral, seeing as I didn't see you all night lol!! :p

never had any trouble with bouncers...ewell, not really.

once at crasher i left a bit early, but then decided i wanted to go back in, and they wouldnt let me...:p

and i have been turned away from tiger tiger no less than 5 times :p and ive had a few arguments with them. Even tho i look far cooler, and have more $$$ to spend than most of the boring 30 somethings they let in.

(Cool disclaimer - on ALL 5 occasions i have had to attempt to gain entry to tiger tiger, as i was out with friends who wanted to go. I have NEVER gone their of my own free will.)

Thats the thing eh - they seem to operate on a wholly random system of laws.

I shudder to think how i would react if i came all the way up for promise from down here in the south, to get the knockback for some inane reason - overly paranoid yes, but not without reasoning.

Bouncers let women into baja with jeans on... but not men.... why?!

Another time, we got refused entry into the waterline becase .... poor vinny didnt have proof of age on him - the bloke is 25 years old for fucks sake, and so was everyone else ... jeez.

Cant think of anything positive about them now.

I got knocked back from Chase the other week.

    Reason: Trainers

Now if this is their policy, then ok. But 8 others we were with had gone in 10 minutes earlier, with at least half of them wearing trainers. This is what pisses people off - the double standards. Also, i have been in Chase many a time with trainers - no problem at all.

Though i stll think the real reason we didnt get in was because Martin looked like such a tramp! :p

I hate bouncers and I haven't even been knocked back or had any trouble with them before.

Their attitudes are couldn't-give-a-fuck and they're just generally dicks, and they know they can get away with it because.. well look at the size of them and they can make up any bullshit and get away with it.

i agree that most bouncers are complete pricks, havent really had any trouble outta before, im quite fortunate to work at a club where all the doorman are good and professional, example, last night some jumped up little arsehole shouting abuse in doormans face, was simply told to go away, most would just hit the kid, but the majority of them get the rest a bad name

I've noticed this too so you're not alone here. I still don't think I've actually been yet because each time they've always had a reason for turning me away. "Ah its over 21's night tonight lads!" when I was 19, or "Sorry lads, no denim!"..."but what about the girl wearing a denim skirt so short you can see her....I see your point mate!"

I really don't like the majority of bouncers as they do seem to be on a power trip with everyone that comes through the doors. I'm not a nasty or violent person, but I seem to have been thrown out of a few places for the most insignificant of things, like laughing at the bouncers trying to do their job :D The worst thing is that after I've had a drink, and they decide to throw me out for any reason they like, I do tend to argue with them...but I think that would be the natural reaction from anyone.

some bouncers are luvli and some arent. its the same with any job ur gonna hav people that are nice and people that arent but bouncers seem to hav a habit of thinking they're "holier than tho" and strut arond throwing their weight around, this however, is far more prominent in some places than others!! if ur a girl they tend to be nicer to ya sugarshack is very much renouned for having evil bouncers, most of em are dead canny well with us they are anyways but that may have something to do with the fact that one of ma best mates is seeing ashley so they're hardly gonna be awful to us when we're with her!! hav bin dragged out the club by my head before tho by the bouncers at sugarshack cos they thought me n ma mate were lettin people in thru the fire exit in the girls toilets cos we opened it to let sum air in  bloody idiots!! then i got "barred 4 life" for supposedly doing that but they let me in again now which is nice :) the bouncers at promise are reeli luvli tho apart from one of them who scares the living shit outta me!! i think we all know which one that is!! xxx

door staff are a necessary evil - what can u do. most are fine, but u always get arseholes. some places more than others, depends on the venue. What would happen if they weren't there? i personnally don't like them, especially when they eye you up as if you're a dealer or something... i know a lad that i went to uni with, he got removed from a rough nightclub in Leicester, protested a bit then got leathered by 4 of the doormen behind a burger van. he was in hospital for 3 weeks, still walks with a limp from 'damaged nerves'. But, u can't tar all bouncers with the same brush. they do a job - and it's the clubs licence thats at stake at the end of the day.

some of them are ok but most of them are thugs!!! (well round where i live they are) they're also the 1's who are the main dealers in our local clubs...they allow in their mates who are dealing & take a cut whilst kicking 7 shades of shit out of anyone else who gets caught!!!

i'm just glad that i'm on the right side of them!! :D

When you have worked in club, you realise the role they play.
The simple rule with doormen is do what they say @ that the first time of asking & dont ask questions.

Also if your regular @ certain bars/clubs they do turn a blind eye to things like trainers/jeans.

I just think that doormen are there for my safety and security. If I'm not doing anything wrong, then there won't be a problem (well, I've never had one anyway). Yes, some of them aren't exactly pleasant, but they are doing an unpleasant job. In my experience, if you are nice and polite to them, you generally get the same back from them. If, however, you go in with a shed load of attitude, then you get that back too.

That's about it, what's the point of argueing with them, it won't get you anywhere. I think the ones at Foundation are good and keep out a lot of the shit.

Me and me Brother got into a fight with about 10 Moroccans' in Spain last Tueasday night, unprovoked of course:angel3: if it was not for the Spanish bouncers things could of been a lot worse. They got in there quite quick and slung all the Moroccans straight out:D nice one bouncers:D
