The first club to nail both sides of the equation will be the true winner in newcastle i reckon - a club split into housier and more melodic sections on different levels or rooms. Theres no end to the talent out there in the north east and people are literally gagging to get their name around.

I dont see the need or the demand for a club catering entirely to one sub genre enough to keep it rammed week in week out.

A carefully selected night that gives people the chance to turn up and chill out, do a little noddle, or wave glowsticks (if thats their bag) but all under one roof would be ace. I would say that most clubs in the town have lost alot of business to the Stereo/Revolution type crowds who stopped going to dirty underground places when the bars got longer licenses.

Some kind of club/bar combination might work wonders aswell - I'd say alot more clever marketing and product management is needed these days with clubs - bar owners right now must be rubbing their mitts with glee with the prices they charge and endless geordies lining up to pay whatever the drinks cost ..... clubland needs to get that back.

    Dunno - just guessing.

exactly, and thats how it should be- you could never get a good turn out in this city with just chicken lips playing

thats why they could work, just have a couple of bigger names on as well
