24hr licence for pubs is the right idea!

    i think it a mint idea as for night shift worker that means they can go for pint after work like dayshift can and on days off i can spend 24hrs in my local :D

    carnt see why it will decrease violence :confused:

    wont everyone jus get even more mashed than they already do :confused: :eek:

    I used to live in a small(ish) town where all the pubs shut at 11. Everyone spilled onto the street and fights broke out. Those that could still walk and had no blood stains on their Shermans, went to one of 3 clubs that all shut at 2. Then at 2, everyone was out on the street fighting again - more pissed up than before. If only councils would stagger closing times, there would be less people spilling out onto the streets at the same time and (hopefully) less trouble. It would also ease the strain on taxis, so people would be able to get home quicker, and again spend less time hanging around. Rant over
