    just get xp pro black edition , it has sp3 plus updates already on and dosent need a key or activation.

    UPTO SP3 - yes.

    However, some recent updates have been breaking the WGA hack.

    Or, get that version of XP - BUT ONLY THAT as there's some floating around FULL of spyware

    I've just installed "Black Edition" and it's just normal XP SP3! :mad:

    Is there anything else you need to do to get it working? Fuming

    You need to do a fresh install when you do black edition and not overwrite the previous version of windows. Did you format first?

    It basically turns your dodgy windows into a licensed version so you can download the service packs and silverlight etc.

    It's alright cheers jimmy, already got a cracked Windows.

    I'm fuming now. Just downloaded a different "Windows Black" which is also meant to be supposedly legit, yet it looks something akin to Windows 98.

    I had to activate the theme from a file that was hidden away.
