Id never heard this one to be honest, but to be fair, theres that much shit against that lad it can be hard to keep up
I never ever thought i would say these words, but.... to be fair to Barton this was another incident from years ago that has re-surfaced and could cause him bother. The incident was dealt with at the time by Man City and the claim now being made against him is a civil law claim, which means that theres no risk of any further jail sentences or anything that could affect playing for his club - only a matter of potential compensation between Barton and the claimant should he be found guilty of damaging the claimants career and be liable to pay for loss of earnings through doing this. Its took him 4 years to put this claim in - obviously seen the media bandwagon against the lad over the past 12 months or so and decided to hop aboard. The Barton incident had nothing to do with his release from Man City and he was released after breaking his leg while on loan elsewhere. Hes claiming that the incident left him damaged psychologically which is why he cannot no longer play football to a high level... i suspect the main issue is a lack of any real talent which is why hes now signing for Hyde in non league football instead of plying his trade in the premiership. He cant change the past and from what ive heard as an outsider looking in is hes been a model professional since KK came in, and as the club are standing by him because of this its unfair on Barton to constantly crucify him for things that happened before he joined NUFC. If/when any further issues arise in the present, thats the time to crucify IMO.
Its a total fucking joke, the kid is obviously shite at football and seen all this happen and thought "ahh wait a minute ill milk this" and has come out with it all again. Yes it may of been out of order and shouldnt of happened but fucking hell man it was years ago? I dont even think Barton should be banned by the FA cos is jail not enough, again why didnt they take action at the time of the Dabo incident? Its never gonna do him any good all these setbacks or a ban which seems iminent, for fucks sake Frank Lampards mam died last season which i dare say is a million times worse and he carried on playing after missing a match or two.... I hope this kids fucking ashamed of himself and unlucky for breaking his leg when he did the cunt.
Top and bottom of it is that this kid wasn't good enough n now he's trying to make a quick buck outa barton because of the media frenzy surrounding him because of similar incidents. Granted Barton is a shit bag and i'd be the 1st to admit it but this is a case of band wagon.
He deserves everything he gets now. If any of us got up to what he has in the past we would have been sacked from our jobs long ago, and been banned from working with children or other vulnerable people (or any job which needs a CRB check) for life. Don't see why Barton should be treat any different just cos he's a footballer.
