    Upgrading Win 98 to 2000

    help please...

    lol, i think its just me with all the probs with computers at moment!

    Havin probs doing it... any help greatly appreciated!

    Upgrades are always prone to future problems. Clean, fresh installations are the better option.

    If not, the upgrade process is the easiest thing. Windows 2000 especially. The script is developed by the setup session. Just a few clicks here and there for interaction on your part and its off.

    If you have problems.... there are several possibilities.... illegal copies often are not how they should be and are missing important pieces.... making the upgrade damaged from day one.

    What in particular is the problem you're having?

    Be careful what you do and make a backup of anything you need to keep.

    I don't know what to suggest without more details but make sure you backup your previous configuration so you can rollback if necessary. Or you might find yourself having to do that fresh install wether you like it or not.
