Tyne Bridge Abseil - 22nd May

    Hello peeps,

I'm doing a charity abseil on 22nd May for Disability North.

I'm doing this through work, but anyone can do it so i thought i'd give it a mention. It takes place at 9am Sun 22nd May, anyone over the age of 16 can do it, all they ask is that you raise a minimum of £50 (which isn't a lot really) full training is given!

130 people abseiled last year and they raised £14,000 for Disability North with all funds being put back into the charity!

If anyone is interested they need to contact Ruth Woodfine at Disability North for an application form on 0191 284 0480 or e-mail her ruth.woodfine@disabilitynorth.org.uk

    Thanks!

Was mint going down tho I would suggest it to anybody to have a go I'm a big tart and I did it so anyone can! :p

Ive abseiled forwards down a cliff face before, they just told me to let go and they controlled it, was like something out of Mission Impossible. :cool2: :funky:

Ive done it normally and where theres no wall or anything and you just freefall down your cord :D

Not for charity mind...just for crack

Somehow I think from 30,000 feet I'd probably need a bit more protection! :p

Pleased to hear it, it's for a good cause, and if you were gonna pay to do it, it would cost a hell of a lot more than £50!
