train crash at kendal http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6392197.stm seems like a set of points are to blame for bringing another train off the rails
It's mad how only one person died, when you see the wreckage you'd think most of the people would of died.
why does britain hav so many crashes? look at the japan and china inparticular they hav bullet trains bending trains and run spot on and the swiss run on time, and if its not on time its not longer then 30 secons l8
there hasn't been a fatal crash attributed to the rail industry for 5 years (one for suicide), that's the longest accident free period in european history... japan has had 3 major crashes in that time.. one 84 year old in 5 years is pretty good..
You seem surprised that he said something that doesn't make any sense.. Just downloaded the new Arcade Fire, LCD and Rakes albums...kerching...
Please stop hijacking my thread. Virgin's new trains are apparently state-of-the-art in terms of safety so it's perhaps no surprise fatalities were at a minimum.
Your thread has no point. You've pasted a link to something that is all over the news, summarised it with some bland statement and put a shocked smiley to make it clear you're surprised. Moreover, one person's already pointed out how wrong your surprise is. So what exactly do you hope for 'your thread' if it's not to be just a casual conversation about something over than how uninteresting the thing's been so far?
Hence why I posted it in the news forum you fag You don't have to write endless essays on current affairs and foreign policy to be able to make a thread in the news forum
I can't remember where I originally posted it. I've been in an alcohol fuelled stupor since teatime friday.
