The next newcastle manager... As far as I can see the town have three choices: 1) Mourinho. Not going to happen as the bloke has more sense. 2) Hughes. A decent manager with a good record, but will he give Ashley and the fans what they want? 3) Keegan/Shearer. What most of the rabble seem to be crying out for. They'd get the time to make it work, but can they pull it off? Personally I think the Keegan/Shearer combination would go one of two ways - a massive success or a ridiculous failure. I'm not sure if KK can be tempted back into the job - saying that he's had a few years away from the game, and may be tempted to return with it being newcastle. What are everyones thoughts on this? Who would you like to see in the job? And who do you think is most likely to take it?
Houllier would be a good choice if they did go for a foreign coach. What worries me is how the majority rabble of our fans want instant success and start booing a manager if they start a losing streak of any more than 3 games. I doubt that Allardyce's sacking has been thought through at all. If it had been then Ashley would have had someone in place by now (and possibly even before the Man Utd game). We need this sorted quickly, we're only 6 points above the unwashed in the relegation zone and we have a tougher set of fixtures than most before the end of the season!
I reckon Shearer & Keegan will get it, not sure what to expect but there the only combination who can earn instant respect & will be allowed time to try & build something up
by no means a bad choice either, houllier has a proven track record of developing young talent time will tell I guess.
I wanted Houllier to get it when Allardyce got it, I thought he'd be ideal judging by the Lyon team he built. I think it might depend on how many Shearer chants there is tomorrow night who gets it.
Houllier has more or less ruled himself out of it aswell haha joke this like, nee one wants the cunt, give the fucker to me I could do with the extra dollar & I once captain Redheugh Boys Club to League & Cup double at U12's, certainly more silverware to my belt then anyone else who's gonna take the job!
just hope people dont expect to win championships ect if the enternaining football comes back top 8 finnish will do for me it would take years to catch up with the top 3 but by then they may be in a differant league (as they are now) lets just be thankfull to see some exciting attacking football get the crowd behind the team again and see some goals
