The new MSN Messenger What a bag of scat. When I click from within MSN to see my emails, it opens Firefox and I'm prompted to enter my email and password every time. The old version bypassed all this carry on. It's also very minimalistic and awkward to find some things.. and yesterday it wouldn't show me the email address of some of the people on my list.. just their nickname.. What's the point in releasing new software that doesn't work
I haven't got a problem, and i also never have to enter my password when i get an email. I've got window's live mail installed though so it just opens it in that.
A think the new msn is terrible, crashes constantly, while every other programme im running runs fine. Laptops very up to date aswell, WLM is class i agree on that.
Is this the 'new' messenger that has been out for months now, or is there an even newer version? I have version 2009 build 14.
Its newer and its a load of crap It crashes for me quite often and i get dodgy error messages from it.
MSN prompted me to update the other day, so I did. It's bollocks though. I have stuffbox or something installed to make my emails open in Firefox instead of IE, cos that used to bug me.. maybe that's the route of the problems. I need to get hold of the version I had previously.
I had an update recently too, but it's the same as it was before. Overall I like the 2009 version. If you want a simpler IM client, try Pidgin
My normally-stable machine has been turned into a bag of shite by the new MSN. Appalling and it crashes pretty much every time I use it. I think I'll be giving pidgin a go.
I've had no bother with it like, and I've been using it since early Beta recently though I've been using Ubuntu Linux loads. It's a great OS...I plan to make a permanent switch at work.
I've been a lickybum n sent them an email on this crashing n error messages crap, seemingly they are working on a Patch, that will be avail soon-ish
I've gone back to the old version. If it works, don't try to make it look prettier and end up breaking anything.
