Take note No bad for a tuesday night fixture in the 1st division ey? Sunderland fans have snapped up more than 6,000 tickets for the club's crunch game at Wigan within 24 hours of them going on general sale. The Black Cats were originally given an allocation of 4,500 for the high-profile fixture at the JJB Stadium - but asked for the extra tickets due to high demand. Mick McCarthy's men travel to Wigan for a top-of-the-table clash on Tuesday, April 5 (7.45pm). The club has now been given an allocation of 7,300 for the game. It means Sunderland are likely to sell in excess of 10,000 tickets for away games that are only four days apart. The Black Cats' allocation of 3,000 for their game against QPR at Loftus Road on April 2 is already sold out. Any supporters still wanting tickets for the Wigan match are advised to buy them immediately to avoid disappointment. It is an all-ticket fixture.
