Ive always wondered why a DJ using just decks and cd players needs a bpm counter....how does it help?
yeah i got it when i 1st used my decks but i was just using that instead of having to learn to beat match. then after a few weeks i put it back in its box an it hasn't seen the light of day since! an it helps as technically you could mix without hearing either of the tracks. a bit like dave pearce prob does. it'd probs sound wank tho.
an there's a lot of them that i've heard playing in bars/clubs so there must be even more who just play in their bedrooms! buy it i need the money for plane tickets so i can visit my gf an make sure she's not getting it on with a pool boy named pedro
just because you can beatmatch doesn't mean you can dj tho... and for the purpose of this thread of course you need a bpm counter to dj. everyone has one. except you. and they're all secretly laughing at you. honest.
an also dj'ing isn't a test its supposed to be something fun so who cares if some1 uses a bpm counter as long as they enjoy it? who are you/i to say what they are doing is wrong?
