It was canny. As per usual I fell asleep just before the final. Just watched it on the Sky + tho. Good stuff. I think it'll be good when they do it with the lighter weights. Proper slugfest.
It was ok i suppose lol, none of the boxers i would class as great, and you can hardly judge them on 3 round fights. With mma growing rapidly and starting to overtake boxing's ratings, they seem to be trying different things to bring back the excitement to boxing, for me that was more of a gimmick, it was like watching two people box at the town moor.
The bloke who won looked like a bare knuckle pikey boxer lol, it was sloppy a sfuck the last fight...although there not exactly world class David Dolan has been a good boxer since he was at school, hes got 6 professional fights under his belt too
I think in a 12 round fight Dolan would have won. With 3 rounds the brawler was always going to attack full of and give his all for 3 rounds which he wouldn't do in a 12 round bout cos he'd gas, he wouldn't have went a 4th round because he was shattered, in a 12 round fight dolan would have picked him off eventually, imo ofcourse.
I honestly belive Barry Hearn has created this to give certain fighters a push, you only had to look at Dolan to see he was a cut above the rest, boxing ability & condition wise. Shame Belfast boy came along.
Why wouldn't he just get 8 talented young fighters then? most of them were well past having a succesful boxing career.
