Pre Pubbing or Parties? Where does everyone go before they go to promise?? which pubs?? or do you just go straight to promise after a good drink n stuff at a small gathering in someones house....... tell me!!!! i wanna know!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hehe, im feeling a bit fizzed up today!
erm the not so smart one goes everywhere. erm if I'm with my beerboy chums I go to the bigg market (usually in cyebr ) and get helplessly shit faced... stumble into promise and act a nob, but I'm sure cyberted preffers me that way if I'm out with clbby frends we usually go to flyns and just relax, sometimes but rarely the chase and sometimes tanners. But the bestest place to warm up is burger king!
Sometimes go to the big market for a few drinks first but always have the trouble of "You're not getting in here with them trainers on". Then we spend most of the time looking for a pub that will let us in, complete waste of time .... Usually go to a mates house and get pissed listening to some quality tunes b4 enduring the half an hour taxi ride into Newcastle !!
yeah thats exactly what i thought, this lack of decent dance music pub thing is a pain........... this could be a good idea... how about getting our heads together and approaching a decent enough pub in town to hold a friday night pre-promise-warm up party with good tunes, easy dress code and a good atmosphere!!! any ideas email me!! or if you have any contacts.. like i said im in the middle of an idea to help bedroom djs, trying to start a mid week night. let me know people!!! fizz
I reckon a pre bar and after hours bar would be wikkid... I love going to garlands in liverpool, nto cos of the club - but cos of the after hours bar across the road... Me thinks an after hours bar in newcastle would be wikkid... unfortunatly newcastle city council are cunts when it comes to lisencing. As would a pre-bar - me thinks this is a wikkid idea!
well, ive just spoke to an associate of mine, and hes heard that the old fog and firkin or some pub down near Foundation is apparently going to be a prepromise pub!!!! this is a rumour...could you find out if this is true in any way??? cos that would be awesome...and id like to help out or be part of it.
Its been bought by the Shindig promoters, and been done out was thinking of checking it out soon. Dont know wether its gonna be used as a promise warm up though. Would be a top idea. Theres always the new Nice bar thats opened next to revolution but i havent been there yet either, but ive heard good reports of it. Po na na is the shindig warm up bar (or was), its ok there, very laid back and funky, but i havent been for awhile so i dont know what its like lately.
peeps usually just get pissed round at mine 1st Al usually gets smashed n throws up in me sink, blockin it up!
ohh me and snarf have walked past that pre bar tis called stero!! tis well trendy!!! bling bling! lol
have used tanners as a pre bar often enough, cheap drinks, wikid music and a good chilled atmosphere! tis not full of trenfy's or beer boys. i like it!
I usually go to the Head of Steam then to weatherspoons( loads of beer boys but cheap drinks) and then finish in Po na na which i think is nice although a lot of people dont like it anymore!!!
we go to all the same places and by the time we are finished we are well up for promise/shindig. its quite funny actually, its like we're following a schedule or something, we have to be in a certain bar by a certain time. wetherspoons, nice, revolution n po na na, they r the best 4 bars in newcastle, by far. although stereo is well smart, i went in before roger sanchez n was well impressed. its quality. oh, n i have to say! did i hear you lot talking about the bigg market?!!! oh guys! i thought you lot had a bit more class! the bigg market is scum, it is full of scum, in fact, i'm rather glad it exists so that 'the scum' don't even think of invading the trendy bars! ooh! I HATE BEER BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
