Please help me choose my mixer... I really don't know what I'm looking for in a mixer, everything seems to think it's great. I don't really want to spend a lot because I don't have a huge budget to work on, so please don't say 'this one's only £500, get this'. So far, I've seen these: Numark :: DM-1002ex Mixer Gemini :: PS540i Mixer Numark :: DXM-01 Mixer Behringer :: VMX-300 Mixer Numark :: DM-3000EX Mixer Are these shit or good? All comments appreciated Cheers
Gotta agree with Revel there, not much cop out of that bunch. I would have the Behringer out of that lot though, as the VMX-300 is a really decent mixer considering how much you pay for it, nice and smooth and has decent features. Whats your maximum budget? Have you seen the DJM ripoff that behringer have released recently? Its only 159.99 from Digital Village....its not great but its a good start, with decent features. take a look for yourself. Its in the same price range as the other mixers you mentioned...and canes them all. http://www.digitalvillage.co.uk/dv/aproduct.asp?id3=6455
I used top have a PMC06 pro. Nice mixer but the gains and frequency dials are perhaps a little bit 2 close together. Also there is no Mid range adjustment only bass and treble. Having said that it is really smooth and well built and never had any problems with it....! Can you switch the BPM counters off on the djm300 cause they would really irrate me? On a related topic, IMO pioneer and vestax mixers alway sound really tinny.
It's so hard because everyone seems to have a different opinion and I don't really know enough about it myself to make a decision.
id go for the pioneer djm 300 out of those 2. its the same as the 500 and 600, only its just got 2 channels. its a good trance/hard mixer....
my mates selling his whole kit so i'll find out the cost of just the mixer & what sort it is & pm u to c if it suits u sir!!
i have a Vmx300 and its a good quality mixer. Ive never had any problems with it.. the faders are smooth and the eqs are decent. its a great mixer for the price and performs well. its tiding me over until i get a DJM600 nicely
