ole ole boumsing to move to lens hopefully Lens are ready to offer Jean-Alain Boumsong a chance to end his Newcastle nightmare. Boumsong arrived at St James' Park for £8 million in January 2005, but he has failed to live up to expectations. Recently he has even lost his place in the side and it looks likely that his future could very well lie away from Tyneside. Lens are now reported to have made contact with Newcastle to inform them that they are willing to take Boumsong. It is believed Sang-et-Or chairman Gervais Martel wants Boumsong on loan with a view to a full transfer - although an immediate permanent deal is an option. The main stumbling block is Boumsong's wages, and for Newcastle to sell him - they are almost certain to have to pay some percentage of his salary, should he leave.
