    What mixer shud I buy? Irrespective of price, but keep it resonable, no £3000 A&H beasts!

    go and test some, it all down to personal preference.

    I prefer Vestax to other mixers. Ive got a PCV-275.

    I've got an Allen & Heath Xone 62 and I don't hink I'll g back to using any other brand

    The Xone 62 is about 650 quid.
    Its their new Xone 92 that is over a grand
    Xone 32 is about 400 quid

    Allen & Heath have filters that you can add effects using - can be quite creative with them

    Yeah thats what I've got. The EQs work really well. Filters are good too

    Sorry dont quite understand what you menat there m8. How can u add effects to a mixer without effects or hav I totally misunderstood ya?

    You can buy an extra sampler or fx unit (Cycloops, kaoss pad or EFX-500) but the allen & heath have filters that you can use to great effect without making it sound cheesy like the fx on a pioneer mixer.

    There are filters built into the mixer that allow you to fuck around with the sounds of your tunes

    Yeah you can make them as subtle or as extreme as you want
