Making Promise BIG!!!!

I don't know what others of you may think, but I think Promise has the potential to become one of the top five clubbin nights in the country up, up there with the likes of Cream , MOS, Slinky, Gatecrasher etc. The word needs to be spread around by the likes of us that Promise is here and is absolutely banging!!!
We need to promote it more, get people aware of the club and let people know it is better than the Saturday night enemy @ Foundation who everyone seems to have heard about.
We should get publicity by getting the likes of Ministry and Mix Mag to do an article on the club for a little bit of advertisment.
Promise is defo going in the right direction it getting better by each week. I must admit I prefer the hard trance to the progression and getting the likes of Tiesto, Jules and Picotto proves that they are heading in the right direction. Signing up Matty Hardwick was probably the best move they could have made, in my eyes he is the best up and coming DJ in the country.
I am a massive Gatecrasher fan and go down as much as I can, I think thats the line Promise need to follow, there music style, promotion and presentation of the club. Promise Always.

Imagine about 2yrs ago the thought of gettin the likes of Paul Van Dyk here as well as Guy Ornadel and Picotto - i mean i for one never would of thought id see the day - and a Trance fan myself i think its just gettin better !!

I mean name a club in the UK with a better Line Up until June ??

If any i cant see it beatin us - throw in the fact we have Matty H as resident and Tuilp too there just a recipe for Success !

Hardwick bein Crasher Ressi and one the most underrated DJ's round - i certainly will be makin more trips to Promise money permitting in 2002 - it just gets better !!!!!!

i like it the way it is!!!! if ya get ministry etc involved in a big way then it gonna attract people who are only there coz mixmag say its the next crasher!! fuck commercialism and letts keep it underground!!

Plus everyone knows everybody at promise and i like it that way!! thats a major factor in why i enjoy my nite as much as i do!!

it would be nice to see promise make it into the top 5, however i wuddnt want it to spoil it.........look at crasher...all the hype totally went to its head, not just of the club but of the punters too.

personally i like promise the way it is....FUKKIN ACE...great djs, great crowd........but kinda like newcastles best kept secret. if ya no wot i mean

Have to say im with Bouze on this one. S'pose it would be nice to be a top 5 club, get the recognition and to have fotos of us all in mixmag every week BUT u gotta think of the consequences!!!!!! We would soon see Promise turning into another money hungry club like Crasher, and we would start to attract big groups of wankers!! See thats what i like about Promise, every1 is friendly. Even the beer boys or the peeps that dont go every week. Just have a look around one nite and its plain to see every1 is having a wicked time.

I agree and disagree I don't want promise to be another Cream, Crasher, MoS... grow absoloutly huge reach a massive climax then just slowely decline till its shite...

Promise in my eyes at the moment, isn't as big as it should be or as it deserves.... I think it has a lot of growing to do... I love the intimate together vibe... but that doesn't mean it should stay the size it is now.

I'd love it if we had a varied crowd traveling from all over the country like some of the bigger super clubs... however I don't want it to reach superclub status... more Passion, Sundissential, Sliinky size... pretty fucking massive but not stupidly big...

i am also pissed, not bad for 4pm on a monday
anyway.... i think that as long as the promoters keep paying attention to this board(which they do a wonderful job of) then i think that it wont go a bit tits up like crasher did last year
plus 99% of the peeps are mint so i dont think we'd go the way the above mentioned did.

Totally agree with what guys have been saying about not making it to big!!!! Similar sort of stance as Smart E where I don't want it to become to big but on the same lines as Slinky.

promise isnt half as well known as it should be...alot of mates i know who go to crasher from different parts of the country havent really heard of it, but when i started to explain about it...and how it has GC album lauch parties and the huge line ups and stuff they couldnt understand why they hadnt heard of it! they are makin there first promise trip for halliwell though!

i think promise could do with a room with no music in and is really cool for those... fuck ups
