Heatons better cause it has the rave house. It's a well known attraction found in your handy guide to newcaslte.

Fair play mind. Fenham used to be like promoter central.

Within about three streets you had the lot from Resistance, Curves, Freaky Dancing, Blueprint, etc....

Theres a couple of bits of Fenham that are dodgy. Most of it is ok though.

Heaton is fine too, thought the nearer you get to Shields Road, it isnt quite as good.

I lived in Fenham for 4-5 years and had no trouble at all. I know a few people who did but it was just random shit... not much different to anywhere else I reckon.

I'd live in Fenham although I am biased because I've already lived there.

    Its far cheaper aswell.

whoop whoop must be cool as fuck then... ;)

our flatmate andy lived in fenham for 4 years and reckons west is miles better than east.. the whole of heaton and high heaton is sound, the shields road thing is bollocks, jus cos its near byker doesnt mean its rough.. ive walked pissed through byker many a time & had no trouble... taxi fares are a pain in the arse mind..

Lived in Fenham all my life, family has lived in the same house for 60 years. I will never leave it.

In terms of being rough - I feel safe walking the streets at any time of night or day, even when pissed. There are rajis, but generally of the 15 year old, easily intimidated variety. You never see 20 somethings with a brick in one hand and a can in the other, a la benwell.

fenham = less students, top curry houses, nice parks, 10 min walk into town.

not ruff at all, then again before fenham i've lived in bensham and shieldfield lol.

Fenham is overrun with assylum seekers and low lifes, the only worse place in town is Benwell.

Heaton is Newcastles "student village" and has everything you could possiblly need on its main street inc. a Metro link.

I would be terrifed if I thought my bird had to walk home late at night in Fenham whereares in Heaton I wouldnt.

However! If you like your meat "Halal" style Fenham is the place to be

The only shit thing about it is its miles from heaton/jesmond. Apart from that its cheaper with bigger houses.
