Habit is back in 2008 with a highly anticipated Newcastle debut from one of the world's finest house DJ's direct from Berlin:

DIXON (INNERVISIONS)

2007 was the year Dixon broke through on a global scale. He released the exquisite Body Language 4 compilation for Get Physical and had a succession of high profile international appearances - receiving wide spread acclaim for his extraordinary DJ skills and broad musical tastes.

Dixon has a long history behind him, including an association with aficionados Jazzanova (he introduced the then-unknown Âme to Sonar Kollektiv) and residencies at clubs Tresor, E-Werk and WMF back in the late 90's. True house heads will know him for his 'Off-Limits' mix series; but also his remixes: He's rejigged artists including Femi Kuti, Beanfield & Taxi, Roland Appel and Jazzanova. Together with George Levin he also records as Wahoo with huge reworkings for Ben Westbeech, Will Saul and The Unabomber's Elektrons guise as well as tracks for the popular Defected label.

Alongside Âme, Dixon manages Innervisions, the infamous Berlin deep house label releasing material from artists like Château Flight, Stefan Goldmann, and of course Âme themselves.

As a DJ, Dixon has been refining his craft at his monthly Innercity party at "Weekend" one of the best nights on the Berlin calendar. Dixon lays down killer DJ sets - soulful vocals and deep modern house alongside tougher minimal grooves.

If New Year resolutions are measured in terms of quality then there is no one better to kick start Habit in 2008.

well impressed with Dixons RA podcast. fan-taka

will be at least 3 hours mate.

spoke to his agent about the possibility of him doing all night but he wanted too much cash for it. we will ask dixon on the night though and see if he wants to do longer, as the longer the better for him i reckon.

3 hours is canny. Would love for it to be all night tho.

His Body Language album & RA podcast have been some of my most listened to sets last year

deffo, both awesome mixes. by all accounts he is even better live so with 3 hours to play with should be in for a treat.

will maybe look to get him do all night long next time.
