Greatest Boxer Ever? Or at least for my generation anyways. I watched this the other day at Proudys and couldnt help but be taken back, granted Mike Tyson was sent down for rape and whole load of other things and is now about 10st over weight i cant help but be at what he was like. A total fucking pit bull of a fighter, no holds barred and if he hadnt of been sent down probably would of went onto even better things, the clip i watched was : [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6zlaIl0yh0"]YouTube- Mike Tyson Training Highlight Reel From www.mike-tyson.info[/ame]
if i had to choose from MY generation... it would be between Mayweather, De Le Hoya and Calzaghe. (Lewis just missing out) Mayweather simply because he is the greatest fighter his weight division had even seen. De Le Hoya for the entertainment value and Calzaghe i have a soft spot for, he was writen off for so many years in inside and outside of UK and he has answered his critics of the 3... MAYWEATHER!
Re: Greatest Boxer Ever? I'll drink to that like, easily my favourite boxer of all time closely followed be Nigel Benn. How fast he was when we watched him shadow boxing man - ridiculous.
Check this tyson clip out, watch the knock out at the end, it shows you the knock out then it shows the build up 2 it, it's the classic when the bloke tries to get up twice and falls over, can't remember his name though. for me its got to be steve collins, the way he destroyed 2 of the best boxers of his generation (benn and eubank) puts him up there. i always thought he retired too early, and roy jones jr. awsome awsome fighter.
Its almost sick how this bloke looks like he's been hit in the head with a sledge hammer the way he's staggering round trying to get up and its funny as fuck!! You'd expect most think "awh my god is he ok?" I just piss myself laughin!!
Re: Greatest Boxer Ever? no disputing what he was and you can only beat whats put in front of you and he didnt hide from anyone just there wasnt that many good heavys but thats no fault of tyson but being fair he thoroughly deserved his jail sentance and was on the slide before he went down imo i can remember staying up for his fights back in the late 80s early 90s had me own place so everyone used to come to mine still think the middleweights of that era was more exsiting with duran hagler hearns and leornard knocking lumps out of each other
