Anyone know what time? We had an office sweepstake going. I had 11 (traditional pub opening time) so i'm hoping he died around then and it's taken a couple of hours for the news to be released.

Its never nice when someone dies but when you have had the chances and treatment that George Best has had there's going to be questions asked.

He has basically drank himself to his death and at the same time caused alot of grief and pain for those related to and close to him.

Put aside that and he was one hell of a footballer who's lifestyle tho spoilt that too...

must be harsh to see someone you love continue to dig their own grave the way best did.

RIP to all the people who died waiting for organs that never recieved them because of the poor levels of organ donation
due to the bad publicity George Best created.

I feel sorry for all his friends and family but i think he is was selfish prick.

well, the only tragedy was the poor fucker who had to die in the first place to give him his new liver, which he promptly wrecked

i for one couldnt give a shit that he has died. bet the News of the World does though, all those ex girlfriends with their heartbroken stories

Exactly. Stupid old cunt. I also think all his drinking 'pals' should be ashamed, and any landlord/shop assistant who served him.

Amen to that- i totally agree

he had enough chances to stop, fair enough he may have been an alcoholic but he didnt have to waste organs which couldve gone to someone more deserving

the landlords who served him should hopefully feel a little bit guilty. bet they dont though

    cunts

He's known he's going to die for the last couple of years, and the stupid cunt still wouldn't abstain from the drink.

regardless of how bad the addiction was, if i knew i was gonna die if i carried on, im sure there would be a little voice in my head saying stop

but he didnt, which is why i couldnt care less that he is dead- and im just waiting for a 'nation in mourning', the same nation that has slagged him off for being an alky over the last few years

    hypocrites:mad:
