(From an austrian bar... with a comvenient internet terminal in the corner)

Was just speakin to Vin about this a few days ago. I get paid tomorrow so im gonna try and get a flight on BA up for holden if the prices havent gone mental. Dropped an absolute kings ransom in the past 2 weeks and logic says i should be sitting in doors eating baked beans...... BUT holden at habit is too good to turn down.

Right.... im off to get a rub down from one of the locals, or some of the absolute stunners that seem to be outnumbering the men out here. Im in total AGONY!

Soll ... its absolutely FANTASTIC. Nice people, great Apres, the women are incredible and the snow has been amazing.

Ill be looking to book another weekend out boarding somewhere before the end of the season.... hopefully ill spend less time with a sore arse though (cough).

Was in insbruck last night actually..... did the olympic bobslay track with a bunch of us .... incredible, and one of the most scary 45 seconds of my life thats for sure!

spent most of my holiday in livigno, italy... snow was great (got a fresh dump of pow) 115cm on the mountain

smashed the fuck out of my knees though landing a jump badly.

I'm heading back out in a couple of months.

Nice one... you done it much before? How was the resort in italy? (Ive been thinking about Geneva on a cheap airline..)

Must say i have a new found respect for anyone who can board or ski.... falling over is like hitting concrete at times and the sheer drops over the edge of some runs when you are trying to link your newbie turns up are a test of just how much courage you truly have eh.

yeah i used to do it loads as a nipper.

I'd say i'm intermediate, land basic jumps (180's and such)... it hurts a lot more when you fall over as an adult though ;)

Livigno is superb for beginners/intermediates - broad motorway runs (all reds and blues) to learn your chops on then one of the best snow parks in the world when you feel confident enough to try your hand at trickery.

there is no off piste as its illegal in italy, but they seem to let you nip between the runs which is about as back country as I get ;)

It's ridiculous! Newcastle are terrible for it aswell, defo just carry it on, BA flights are hardly ever full anyways, plus there alot more spacious than Easyjet or the likes
