Halliwell above Zabiela. Nuff said. And Afrojack at #7? http://soundcloud.com/axisone/afrojacks-greatest-hits-radio
As much as the DJ's at the top of the list have brought their own unique side to everything, they just represent how 'Pop' the whole thing is going. AVB, no matter how much he has done for the scene, is now going the way tiesto did, who is now spreading what he does to a much broader base, so why so many people were rooting for him i dunno. Same goes with any other of the current wave of megastar DJ's (before the next wave comes along) - How many of them are actually PUSHING any boundaries, as opposed to letting someone with a massive wedge of cash finance a huge stadium gig for them to stand at the front of the dj booth pulling a hand sign and putting on a standard stadium sound and light show. ... you might as well watch some old 'Zoo TV' videos on youtube of U2, and you'll see Bono and Paul Oakenfold putting the exact same show on, 15 years earlier The top 10 just shows a bunch of people rinsing the industry for all it's current Pop glitz and glamour, as opposed to daring to do things their own way at the expense of their top 100 popularity. ... which is why you see people like Hawtin and Sasha with pathetic scores, and barely anyone from the House music scene which is by and large part of the reason why any of us are here in the first place, and you can usually look in the directions of those DJ's and Scenes to see where the next movement will be coming from.
