cdj800 mk2's looking at buying a pair of cdj800 mk2's, anyone know the best (cheapest) place to get a set 2nd hand?
Just sold mine for £750 on Ebay, i had them on here for a while like. 1000 MK3's come tomorrow, at fucking last too !!
My next stop after these MK3's given the chance is a laptop or a new mixer. If i could sell me 1200's there'd be some money towards one.. Final Scratch and Serato Scratch Live tho are knocking on £500 for the package n then the laptop on top of that it all adds up.
The CDJ's come and ermmmm I will eventually get a decent blend on them, i havent yet - probs be Monday cos am away this weekend.
Lee you have gone over to the dark side sonny!!!!!! Get a Gibson les Paul or something you inbred hick, or a nice set of drums. Don't waste your sloan on CDJ's. You're daft if you get a pair of CdJ's when you've never even attempted to mix, I know loads of people thathave bought all new gear and never use them.
yeah but they normally have a better resale value, so when they aint getting used like expected u dont make a great loss. or if u get into it, it saves buying better gear in future
Geordie did you know bout this? http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/press/news/cdj1000mk3.html BPM counter is ment to be off on mk3's, but this update should put it right bud
Because i want to dj, which means standing and physically looking for music, whether that be record or mp3 and being able to flick through stuff, then mix hands on, not just press start and use a mouse, why don't we all just run winamp and mix things on there If people wanna use ableton in conjuction with cd decks or whatever then great, but i personally can't see the appeal with standing infront of a laptop to be more creative, if you need to then your obviously playing shite lol
How else can you find the tunes to mix? Telepathically tell the programme to play it? There's a hell of lot more too it than that.
I do music production at college and have watched numerous people do it, it's mostly home work with the odd exception of someone who's really creative, but i've not seen anything to warrant leaving cd decks and moving totally to a laptop, like i said I'd be interested in using a laptop alongside cd decks where you still mix etc but not on its own.
you know exactly what i mean, having the records/ cds infront of you and not everything uploaded onto a computer.
one example i seen live that made me think it was utter bollox, dexter live at fabric, he couldn't turn up so one of the other djs done his live set for him, he done nout but stand there looking at the screen and killing the bass once in a while lol
I disagree but i'm not gonna argue about it. As i've said previously as long as the mixes and structure are how they should be it really doesn't arse me how its done, after all i dont go to a club to just stand and watch a Dj i go to hear what he's doing
what's clamped? I havn't used the programmes but have watched people use them, therefor have seen what goes on during their sets?
