Sweet, cheers Jimmy. Havent seen much build up for it at all really, didnt even realise it was this week until someone mentioned it last weekend. Dunno if thats just me not seeing it or if it hasnt actually been pushed that much yet? :spangled:
Nah there was much more build up about the hopkins fight mate. There was a documentary on about Joes boxing history the other day but thats all I've seen
can't wait for this one like, i wreckon if Calzaghe on points but only if he is at his best. B-Hop had the right idea against Calzaghe, slow the fight down as much as possible keep getting the referee involved to distrupt Calzaghe's rhythm, and under NO circumatnce have a toe to toe punching session with him... IMO B-Hop beat him, Joe only got the call because Las Vegas loves aggressive boxing i know this isnt jones jnr's preferred style but if he can distrupt the rhythm of the fight enough esp in the later rounds he has every chance, i have a feeling though his macho attitude will get the better of him and he will come out all guns blazing and simply get picked off
this happened to me for Hatton vs. Mayweather - went to watch it at sports cafe in town but got hoyed out for arguing with the aftershave bloke in the tiolets (daft cunt said i broke the tiolet seat, i never even touched the tiolet seat) - ended up at home, watching it with my dad fell asleep within minutes of turning it on.
I'll watch it. Calzaghe by KO in the 8th. More looking forward to see Haye at heavyweight next week though.
I'll be going straight to kip when getting in from work on Saturday afternoon, get up for this at 12ish few cans, domino's then off to graft at 5AM
Im not being biased but i think Calzaghe was clear winner. Not by loads but i was confident the judges were gonna give him it. Hopkins was technically better (not by a massive margin though) but got completely outworked. As for the fight with Jones Jr - its interesting. If Roy's punch resistance is like it was when he got ko'd by Tarver & Johnson a stoppage is possible. Otherwise Calzaghe needs to be at his very best cos Jones has some serious skills.
I think Tarver and Johnson punch harder than calzaghe so dont think Calzaghe will knock him out. I hope Joe wins but I'm not confident enough to put my money on it.Technically I think theyre evenly matched but if Jones is as fit as he looks I reckon he has a chance of knocking Joe out
Does anyone know what time the calzaghe fights actually on???The program starts at 1.00 and its on till 6.00 but I thought it would be on about 1ish with it being in New York
