Breakbeat Era Going through my d n b records I stumbled onto my bulletproof album.... How fooking good are breakbeat era, they are the fcuking bollox and never get any recognition...
Smart E - do you know much about dnb? I really like some of the more chilled stuff, but don't know what it is or what to buy (as CDs, not vinyl). I do have the Kosheen CD which is great. Any suggestions?
I ve got some Breakbeat Era stuff knocking about somewhere! But prefer the more jump-up Aphrodite/Micky Finn stuff!!
Adam F first album 'Circles' is fookin class got it on vinyl, its definatly one to have a look at B.O.B, especially if your not into the harder side of D&B.
Nitin Sawhney - deffinatly one of me favs although probably more trip hop than d n b Lamb - me thinks like kosheen but better Alex Reece - Very Jazzy - one of me fav's Tricky <-- He's trip hop but ponderossa is one of my alltime fav songs and the whole maxinaque album is excellent. Outside - more abstracty I finks also could be considered acid jazz... but then kosheen could be considered trip hop L.T.J. Bukem - specially the hip hopy stuff Fila Brazillia - duh I'm prolly teaching a granny to suck eggs cos my d n b knowledge aint that immense but I likes all the above
Excellent! Think I have heard of Lamb before - is that the one with the rather attractive singer? Will check some of them out. Thanks. x
Newcastle's very own smoove's album is out soon!! although his style is more jazzy breaks he played a lush DnB tune in stonlove a while back and he said its off his new album!!!!! ahhh i fuckin love dnb!!!!
