    Good fish/vegetarian restaurants

Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants with either a good choice of fish or vegetarian food? Price isn't too much of a consideration.

    Many thanks.

Scott has the same problem when taking me out for romantic meals

Ever since they took the Quorn burger off the menu @ Maccydee's we've had real problems..

I didn't like it in there. The food's very average. I normally really like veggie stuff, but it was all a bit bland in there.

The one a couple of doors up (on the corner of king john st) is loads nicer. Can't remember what it's called though.

    It's personal preference

Some people don't like tomatoes or milk

    I don't like meat

If you say you don't like milk no-one cares, if you don't like meat then suddenly everyone is on comission from the butchers.

Am sure my gf would happily enlist. She absolutely loves. I can't think of anything worse than eating all the leftover by-products of fish, mashed and processed into little sticks.

They're the hot-dogs of seafood!

    Any seafood really

they are just less messy than most

Also love those mock lobster tail things, crabs, mussels etc

However not most fish as the texture is too meaty

Right, I'm off to Joe's Fish Net on the Shields Road, am starving

Thanks to those who gave suggestions - I have ended up booking a table at Paradiso, as they have quite a few fish/vegetarian options. Plus we can go to Popolos for a drink first!

Me and the boy used to go to Popolo's when we first got together

He'd impress me with a couple of expensive cocktails then round to the Lodge for some 2 4 1 and the Attic for a bit of spin to win.

    Good call Helen
