Maybe a lack of interest in politics doesnt mean you're thick. But the "don't give a fuck" attitude of you and so many others does say something about your personality.

Personally, I don't know how anyone can sit back and not even care about issues that affect them.

If that makes me anal, so be it :p

....... Maybe it just comes across as dumb.

Perhaps some groups of people rejoice in coming off or sounding as brainless as possible to try and 'fit in', but one good thing about this board is that as much as its primary purpose is a clubbers messageboard .... it does have some very intelligent and switched on people on here.

Perhaps its better not to post in threats about serious issues if you dont care about serious issues?

its not that i don't care about serious issues its just i think politics is boring, and i don't know anything about it, so I wouldn't know the first thing to say about it.

being intelligent isn't about having lots of knowledge of everything, anyone can read book, intelligence is understanding the information that you take in.

You must have a political opinion though Alex, even if it's only about the current government. There must be things you agree and disagree with that are happening in this country now ??

was it bollocks lots of garnish no substance...

His first question was ok, nice start but nothing to write home about, the last 2 questions were easily forgetable... a confident perfomance by cameron - but thats all.

it'll take more than confidence to topple a government.

tbh i don't understand politics, i barely know the names of any of the people. I find it really funny everyone is arguing about being thick if you don't get it.

Most of what they talk about is bumfed up crap talk, they dodge quesions etc.

i don't get involved in it ad yeh my friends laugh at me but I can't do anything about how our country is lead except for voting, i don't see why some people on here seem to air their views like it's going to change something.

get as angry as you want but how often is what the people want going to matter?and if you really are so bothered go and protest or something crazy!

i'm not thick and yeh as Joe said i can get away with not knowing because i'm female but i'd rather not listen to most of the politics crap anyway as its boring and nothing seems to ever get resolved it just goes a bit quiet for a while then the public realise something totally different has been put in to place etc.

Politics obviously affects everyone whether you pay tax or not Brid especially those in education still.

    rant over :)

I believe I make a difference, I know I have a far more positive impact on our country than you or alex.

If everyone were to sit back and ignore politics our society would collapse into anarchy... Anyone can have a political opinion - it isn't a sign of intelligence... but not having a political opinion could be interpreted as a lack of intelligence.

From a young age we're surrounded by politics, if you're 20+ years on this planet you haven't been able to form a political opinion (be it democratic, anarchistic, whatever.) I'd guess you're lacking something ;)

To be honest I don't, the country goes on and has always gone on without my input.

My point of view is theres enough of people in the uk to keep the country ticking over so i don't need to engage in it.

To be honest I don't know of anybody that i know that actually votes, apart from joe and my mum and dad.
