Women 'get blame for being raped'

A third of people believe a woman is partially or completely responsible for being raped if she has behaved flirtatiously, a survey suggests.

The Amnesty International poll of 1,000 people also found over 25% believe she is at least partly to blame if she has worn revealing clothing or been drunk.

 oh dear... I wouldn't go as far as saying they are to blame if they dress like a slag but some sluts should remember men are primarily stimulated by visuals where as woman are not, and its a sad fact of life some men act on it.

I think this is a bit of a bad generalisation. Some woman may dress and act in a suggestive manor but you can't say that someone fucked up enough to go and rape someone isn't responsible for their doings and that it was the victims fault. How shit is that.

It's like RDR's Mum claiming the girl in Consett deserved to get raped for walking through a park.

Men who rape women should have their "parts" removed..

Only a fucking coward could do that to a woman..

No matter how they dress or how intoxicated they are.. they should not be submitted to this sort of assault.. in fact they shouldn't be submitted to any form of assault..

A sort of assult like this has a much much bigger impact on peoples lives than I think people realise. I totally agree no matter what a woman does...even if shes walking home naked...if she says no what right does some beast have to rape someone!? Its disgusting!

    I know!
Its completely in-excusable.. I don't care if a man has been drinkin for 12 hours and had 25 10in long joints.. it still doesn't give the right to inlifct this sort of abuse.

I understand that the impact is gonna be massive, ppl lose trust and any form of feeling towards a member of the opposite sex and it takes a long time for that to be regained.

I feel sorry for those who have to go through this sort of assault..

    spot on

rapists and sex offenders are the scum of the fucking earth... i think they should experience vast amounts of pain if they are convicted... the pain they can cause their victims is infinately worse.

saying that, i know a lad who was wrongly accused of rape... i aslo know the girl who accused him... he is a nice lad but his name was mud until the girl admitted she lied, she always was a slag and i used to be good mates with her but i never had her down for that kind of caper, it makes ya think about what lengths people will go to... nasty pieces of work

the liberals always have a "but... " arguement.

it's like arguing with lasses - even if you're right - they still argue the point.
