yep thats bout it. they make concepts just as "ideas" made real. chances of them being manufactures as they look in the concept........... ....nil
Its usually a car that they may decide to make one day but for now is just to show where they are going design-wise. Very few make it from concept to road version without being really dumbed down. The only one I can think of off hand is the Ford Street KA.
the new shape astra started off as a concept car a couple of years back and everyone just fuckin lauged at them.. << gets coat and leaves>> sorry.
aye the little model ones at the start... the ones at the motor shows aint... they're made from metal and that... just fuck all inside..... big car companies aint gonna be too arsed about a few grand!
yeah they do but the shell of the car is made from clay which is encased in fiberglass to give it a good finish look below at pics 7. Fiberglass sheathes the clay mock-up to emulate the car's shell. Below, the final product is assembled. As the Bengal's frame is constructed, it rests on stands so that designers and engineers can get underneath it. Photograph from General Motors.
your not the only one, i had about a three hour argument with my brother a bit ago cause i wouldn't believe they were made of clay, i looked stupid when he showed me pictures.
