It's his own fault. Not really bothered tbh. Scored probably the best goal I've ever saw when he played in America though:eek:

I think you summed it up really, he had it lost it and blew it away..

I stopped feeling sorry for him not helping himself a long long time ago really.

He retired at 26..... that was a waste!

People have the right to do what they want to their bodies - but after the transplant, he should have thought about the person that allowed him to live and give them respect...

    it's a shame

its bad when you think about the fact that that transplant couldve went to someone who was really in need and who wouldve looked after their new organ.:(

SO - is he a Hero or a Villan?

Most people come to the same conclusion - he was good at kicking a ball around for a few years - then pissed it all away and was a tosser.

    so - Villain

If someone points out all/any good charity work he did using his fame/wealth - i may change my opinion

Still - he's a legend in his own way, for bad or for worse, and i wouldn't wish the (self inflicted) illness/pain he's gone thru in the last years of his life

death will be the best thing thats ever happened to Best reputation. I think people will remember him more for the football rathert than JUST the boozing... TV will always show his skills more than his ills
