downloading music is wrong and killing off the whole music industry.

actually i dont think that, i think music should be free anyway not lining the pockets of some mansion living drug taking high-life living ponce who might be able to whack out a tune or two.

download.com has some cracking free stuff, really good music that real people have put thier heart and soul into. not this regurgitated pete waterman crap that people buy into.

I'm a producer, and if you saw my bank balance you'd realise that there's very little money to be made from the majority of music.

No many artists make that kinda money and in the dance scence stealing music has a huge effect on the talent who are just not making a living out of it

also why is it ok to steal music but not ok to steal from a shop or steal from an artist??? Is it not the same crime at the end of the day?

I just want to know how people define these different grades of theft? Is it cos its easy to get away with? Is it cos the social standpoint is that if you download you are not a criminal when in reality you are a thief?

Just interested to know how people justify it? I do it cos i also shoplift so im not that fussed

Did you pay royalties to producers of records that you used on your demo cds?

Are you not giving away their music for free?

I think it's all a very grey area.

But as stated many of these artists are NOT rich, infact only a small percentage break even and go on to make the big money....

Anyway i dont beilve stealing from the rich to give to the poor is right i would not steal loft of bread from tesco and give it to a mackem
