What do you think Foundation needs?

    putting out of its misery.

might as well be realistic, every market is cornered in this city.

    RIP.

also at creamfields last year found myself in the d&b tent quite a lot....
would definateley be a starter, especially in term time with all the students coming here from southern area's. it's really big down there, doesn't seem to have travelled this far up though!!

I take my hat off to the wax on boys, they're ballsy as fuck with their line-ups... some mind numbing line ups.

however drum and bass always sounds better in a drum and bass club... the atmosphere is better - you dont want pretty mincers like myself - you want grime.

Its like roots manuva @ the sage... good to hear the music but the atmosphere is lacking.

Any drum and bass night in newcastle would be hard to beat turbluance - its nationally respected and has some superb line-ups.

Thats a load of shite. There wasn't a problem with foundation before digital opened when promise/shindig/wax:On all ran side-by-side and there still isn't now.

It just needs some fresh nights to lure more people in and probably a refit to go with it.

I wouldnt mind having somewhere to sit, cos you can never get a seat in the corner, but being able to hear yourself think while your sitting. Main reason I go home early is cos I get tired of dancing and then bored cos cant sit down and chat to someone. The lure of bed at home is too much :p

Digital seems to be the cool new place to go - students will flock there mid week once they're back... i love foundation for what it is - a dark, warehouse type underground club - basic, industrial - it's got a great feel - but it's gotta get the nights right. it needs a chill out bit, some new seating areas where you don't get your clothes dirty when you sit down and the air con need turning up a bit... the balcony needs something doing with it - open the upstairs out a bit, make it more of a place to stand, chat, drink... another bar maybe?

i hope Promise, as a night, doesn't go... i'm not cool enough to go to Digital regulary :(

A succesful night doesnt have to follow the stereo corp formula.

I've been to amazing nights in shity grimey venues, to write foundation off because a new club opens is a huge leap... Foundation just needs to readjust its direction and instead of competing concerntrate on either digitals weaker nights or completely new nights.

foundation still is a good club, its just really tired now thats all

digital has a wealth of bars around it for example, what is left near foundation? stereo is dying on its arse as well

but is there any point in spending a fortune on refurbishing the club if it isnt to last too much longer

how long are the residents of the new flats opposite the club gonna put up with hundreds of wrecked clubbers outside their front doors every weekend?
