Mobile Phones on 3 just a quick question as i've been giving the job of finding my dad a new phone. Can you have phones on the 3 network unlocked to accept any sim card? Or can you get bolt-ons the same as other networks, on 3? He doesnt want any naff video calling packages etc, just simple top-up and call options. I'm not very aware of phone networks these days. from what ive heard 3 is hit.loadsa probs with reception/signal. just wot ive heard mind not written in blood.
I have a budget of £50 and he wants a new phone. Maybe pushing towards the £60 mark. So far i've found 2 for him. I'll stay clear with 3 I havent really heard anything about the network.
my mate has a 3 phone and has nothing but hassle never ever get through to him just his recorded message "leave a message cos theres never any signal on this bonk phone"
i had a mobile on 3 and that was also shite, no signal ,cutting of mid conversation and once even put a voucher on and it did'nt register so rang up cus service could'nt understand a bastard word they were saying as it was an indian call centre so rang back up hoping to speek to someone were i could understand them next person was sound told me to enter the voucher in again so i did but it still did'nt register:evil:
I had a 3 phone and it worked fine in Sheffield and in Newcastle But Hebburn where I live has quite bad reception for most networks and I couldnt use my phone at all in the house Changed to Vodafone when I moved back home cos they have best UK coverage

same here customer service is rank took me over an hour n half to cancell getting passed from pillar to post would stay well clear of 3 imo
