Promise Will continue at foundation for the immediate Future ,
As stated we may go Monthly Saturdays from September
Obviously we will keep you posted as far as developments are concerned

I Do think people need to calm down with all this talk of Promise/Foundation closing etc
Wax on IS a very good night , However i,m not sure how they will fill the new club every week when they never came close to filling foundation once when they were monthly (this is not a critism , just an observation )
In my opinion Weekly nights just Don't work

As a personel freind of Aaron + Rob i,m sure the new club will be awesome
As stated before we wish them all the best

I Agree with alot of people on this board that a new club can only be good for newcastles club scene , bringing more choice and competition which can only be a good thing .

    spot on.

why spoil something that works well monthly? the boundaries are already blurred between shindig and wax: on, the crowd is pretty much identical too.. can newcastle cope with shindig, wax: on and nice all on one weekend? i'm thinking the breaks element of wax: on is its saving grace...

imagine when arcanes on.. ay carumba!

i think there are plenty of options- you could go with a bit of techno, like richie hawtin, umek, dave clarke etc
drum n bass like andy c
scratch perverts could play, mr scruff, audio bullys, james lavelle, adam freeland, ewan pearson, scumfrog, chicken lips
even tribal/tech house could have a place at wax on

it does have so much potential, i just hope it can pull off being a weekly- shindig aside it seems difficult to manage

as much as promise aint really my thing anymore (dave pearce and judge jules put paid to that), the city does need a trance night as well i reckon

lets just hope people appreciate the choice they are about to be given

In all honesty and in spite of all the grief i give it , i hope Promise doesnt close , the city needs a variety of nights plus it would be a shame for all the people who like trance to lose a big night like it.

As for Wax:On , the promoters tastes are wide enough to be able to handle going eekly....if they didnt think they could do it they wouldnt have taken it on.

At the end of the day they can try and see what happens......
