I really can't be bothered to go out on Valentine's itself, as the restaurants are always packed, the service and food quality tend to go down due to the amount of people they are trying to get through the place in one night, and they usually try to rush you in and out as quickly as they can.

So just a quiet night in for me and gf. Nice meal, bottle of wine etc.

Get ringing round soon - most places will be pretty booked up by now. Were you thinking about town centre, or outside?

Ah yes. I see you put that in your first post. Spot the person not paying attention due to too little sleep!

Personally I like Cafe Paradiso, Cafe Roma, Latif (though not good if she doesn't like spicy food), the chinese next to Rosies (Mandarin?), El Torero, Sabatinis. Loads more, just can't think of them right now! Dying to try the Biscuit Factory though.

avoid sabatini's the food is drowned in melted butter and devoid of flavour.
