    Bellamy Interview on Sky Sports

I am DEF on Bella's side. He has just given an honest, genuine interview on Sky Sports. He loves Newcastle to bits. That is clear. I do not believe he refused to play.

Souness, seemingly has an issue with him. I appreciated Bellamy giving that interview. However, he has called Souness a lier live on TV. I cannot see how this can work out now.

I really dont want him to go. I think he might have to now though. Souness will not back down.

If I had to choose between Bellamy and Souness, I would want Souness to go.

We just have to hope Bellamy makes it till the end of January. Then that gives Souness 4 more months to prove just how poor a manager he is.

Hopefull, a manager with a clue will then come in and restore Bellamy to his rightful place.

Better still, Souness goes today. But i cant see that happening, because Fat Fred wouldnt want it to bee seen that he is swayed by player power. But then again it was his fault for appointing Souness in the first place.

Would Luv to keep Bellamy but I think he has left the club no option but to get rid of him, if they sacked Souness over this, which manager would come to a club where the players are in charge

He is one of our best players.

Fat Freddy Shepard has just released a statement. He is on Souness's side (obviously). Bellamy is gonna get ownded by the sounds of it.

    Thick ****.

Basically it seems that Souness's statement after the match was a vindictive and plain nasty attempt to get the fans against Bellamy, a la the Dyer situation.

The two are completely unrelated however, in that Dyer should count himself lucky to be in the XI, while Bellamy is only saying what every person with half a brain can see, except Souness.

    Something like this....

"Bellamy is cheating on the club, players and fans. Internal discipline to go ahead."

Its either Souness or him goes and I cannot see Souness going.....

regardless of the whose right or wrong. if bellamy played for boro and considered faking an injury for any reason i would want him out.

that is an inexcusable act for a footballer in my book, especially when you consider the money they are paid.

Bellamy said himself why would he want to fake an injury though?

He loves Newcastle, and has played with injuries before to help the team. Why would he not want to play against one of the best teams?

Bellamy should of been sold when he chucked a chair at Carver. Also what about his "I am off if Rooney comes" line? Horsehead,Smithy & Saha just accepted Rooney coming.

I rate Bellamy as the best at the club but for me I think time should be called on his time at NE1 4ST.

on the bbc website bellamy was quoted as saying he considered faking an injury but never went through with it?

if that is true would you want someone like that to play for you? knowing that they might consider faking an injury in respect of a dispute with the manager.

i also think he is your best striker. however, no one player can ever be bigger than the club. i would want him gone, as it will set a precedent that the club and manager will not bow to player pressure, that they will accpet the conditions of their employer and if they don't then they can find another one.

Shepherd has now waded into the row by revealing Bellamy faces internal disciplinary action for the reasons behind his non-appearance at Highbury.
Shepherd is furious that Bellamy had told some of his team-mates that he would feign an injury so he would not have to play on the wing against the Premiership champions.
The Magpies supremo is outraged at Bellamy's comments, with Shepherd offering his full backing to Souness.
"I wish to put the record straight," said Shepherd.
"Bellamy walked off the training ground saying his hamstring was tight but what he failed to reveal in his interview is that he had told other members of the squad before training that he had intended to feign injury.
"When Graeme Souness discovered this he immediately ordered Bellamy to attend a meeting with us in my office.
"At that meeting he admitted to Graeme and I that he told players he was going to feign an injury and walk off.
"He also agreed at that meeting to apologise to his team-mates for his behaviour but he didn't and that resulted in the action taken by the manager at the weekend which I fully support.
"In my book this is cheating on the club, the supporters, the manager and the player's own team-mates.
"Bellamy is paid extremely well by Newcastle United Football Club. I consider his behaviour to be totally unacceptable and totally unprofessional.
"The player will now face internal discipline by the club."
